According to reports, Japanese automaker Suzuki decides to make 10 million dollars investment for building another automobile facility in Myanmar, Burma.
Suzuki targets to produce about 10,000 cars per year from this new and bigger plant. Along with many other models, Seven-seated compact â€˜Ertigaâ€™ will also be assembled there. Suzuki decided to use imported parts to be assembled at this facility.
Suzuki wants to capture the emerging automobile markets all over the world. This plant in Myanmar will help it making quick inroads in Burmaâ€™s growing market.
According to reports, Suzuki has already secured some 20-hectare land in Thilawa special economic zone located at southeastern part of Yangon. Not confirmed yet, however it is anticipated that plantâ€™s construction may start this year and is scheduled to come online till 2017. 300 workers have been hired for this mega project wherein Suzuki is going to spend several billion yen.
This second automobile facility in Myanmar will certainly result in countryâ€™s economic revival. Again it will open up the new doors of enhanced revenues for Suzuki.
