Eid-ul-fitr is a very wonderful and magical time for the entire Islamic nation. It is a time when people belonging to different walks of life come together to celebrate this special occasion. During this time of the year, everyone tries to help the poor and needy through charity which is a very crucial aspect of the Eid celebration. In the spirit of Eid, money and new clothes are distributed amongst the underprivileged and poor families.

Eid signals the end of the month of Ramadan and it spreads joy amongst all the Muslims across the world. Before the day of Eid, people rush to the markets to buy dresses for the day of Eid. Most of the people tend to wear traditional outfits on the day of Eid. The traditional outfits of men are simpler as compared to the traditional outfits of women and children which are more colorful and beautiful. In UAE, on the day of Eid women usually wear shalwar kameez, hijabs, abayas and burqas while men tend to wear kurta shalwar and shalwar kameez.

The colors that are commonly used in these combinations for women are yellow, orange, purple, peach, maroon and pink as these lovely colors go hand in hand with the theme of Eid. Indian Dresses

A Pakistani dress has a longer kameez as compared to the traditional suit and includes the option of both unstitched and readymade dresses. While some choose to wear lawn dresses on Eid others prefer to wear clothes with heavy embroidery. The Indian dresses are a bit different from Pakistani dresses as they tend to be more traditional while the Pakistani dresses are more stylish. The Indian dresses are recognized by their brilliance and splendor. These dresses are known to have mesmerizing colors, lush fabrics and sparkling embellishments. The most common Indian dresses for the auspicious occasion of Eid include Sarees, Churidar Kameez, Salwar Kameez, Lehenga Choli and Anarakali Suit.

Men on the other hand wear Churidar Kurta, Kurta Pyjama, Pathani suit, Afghani suit etc. which they wear to the mosque to perform the Eid prayers. They too can choose from a wide variety of designs, colors and styles just like the women. Some guys prefer to wear waist coats with their kurta and kameez while others are more comfortable in simple kurta shalwar.
