Dubai, in order to maintain its rapid growth in tourism sector, is counting on theme parks and frivolous resorts. By 2020, Dubai administration has planned to boost the tourist arrivals nearly double to 20 million.
Itâ€™s in the latest news that Dubai Parks and Resorts will create more than a third of its employment opportunities for UAE nationals but at a range of entry levels. This major Emiratisation drive is aimed to generate above 1,000 new jobs in the tourism sector exclusively for the Emirate residents. According to resources, this program is fragmented into three divisions including Forsati, Sahim and Helmi. Now the young potential of UAE can have a range of career opportunities so as to make prolific living.
- Forsati (My Opportunity) is a 6 month development program set for people with high-school education level or even below.
- Sahim (Contribute) is introduced as direct recruitment program for Emirati nationals of high-school education or above. It will also give minimum experience of 3 years to the selected candidates across all the Dubai Parks and Resorts departments.
- Helmi (My Dream) program is for graduates. Herein, scholarships will be awarded to eligible youngsters.
Dubai Parks and Resorts has introduced these programs to nurture the new talented generation for tourism sector and especially for the theme park industry.
Chief executive of Dubai Parks and Resorts, Mr. Raed Al Nuaimi said, â€œThrough the launch of this Emiratisation programme, we aim to build a significant talent pool of Emirati professionals in theme-park operationsâ€¦Building Emirati talent is part of our commitment to accomplishing the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, to nurture and empower Emiratis in all business sectors.â€
He further added, â€œWe are setting a new milestone in Dubaiâ€™s leisure and entertainment industry through our groundbreaking theme parksâ€¦This is key to the long-term sustainability of the theme-park industry in the UAE.â€
Dubai Parks and Resorts is working hard to help all participants to become well educated and skilled professionals. They will then have to contribute in companyâ€™s three developing theme parks at Jebel Ali, Dubai. These parks are scheduled for inauguration in October next year and includes Hollywood-themed motiongate, Bollywood & Legoland theme parks and also the Legoland water park.

This initiative is taken to empower the national talent along with promoting the Emiratisation, and is actually is in line with UAE Vision 2021.
